Pleione formosana "Lucy Diamond"

Easy to grow white version of the species, with a touch of red on the lip

Pleiones are dormant all winter, when they are leafless and are taken out of their pots to dry out completely.

Their new shoots, containing the flower buds, will start to grow at the beginning of the year so that is a good time to pot up and start to water. If you want them to flower later, keep very cool to hold them back.

They are very cool growing, requiring a drop to below 10°C in winter.
