Brassia Santa Barbara

This is a hybrid between two Brassia hybrids - Edvah Loo x Rex. This cross will produce elegant sprays of spidery mottled green flowers which are fragrant. The original species used in the breeding come from Mexico and these orchids like to be in good light and high humidity. Keep damp most of the year, a little drier in the winter.

Intermediate growing with a minimum of 12°C.

The average pot size for these plants is 17-20cm.

This orchid's leaves can be prone to having small black specks. We are not concerned about this and the plants grow and flower well in spite of it. It is not a disease so will not spread to other plants.
