Coelogyne ochracea "Orange"
The short sprays of sparkly white flowers have a deep orange centre to the lip. (picture shows yellow with an orange border) This is a Himalayan orchid and needs distinct wet and dry seasons throughout the year. Through spring and summer we are watering regularly and spraying the leaves too. The flowers emerge from the centre of the new leaf growth which continues to grow after the flowers have gone, making a new pseudobulb at its base. Keep drier and cool, dropping to 10°C, during the winter.
The average pot size is 9-11cm.
