ORCHID DIARY 2008

The following is a list of our events for the near future both at the nursery and around the UK. We will update it as new dates become available. The details are correct at time of publishing but in case alterations have been made, feel free to confirm dates with us. We are happy to bring any particular plants along for you to any of the shows and special events, just let us know.

Sat 19th & Sun 20th January 2008...GORDALE ORCHID FESTIVAL at Gordale Garden Centre,Chester High Rd,Burton,Wirral. Open Sat 9am-5pm Sun 10.30am-4.30pm.

Sun 27th Jan...WORKSHOP at the nursery, first one of the New Year..open 10am-4pm free talk starts at 2pm.

Sat 9th & Sun 10th February...POTTING WEEK-END at the nursery, the most popular time of year to repot,bring your orchid along for 'FREE ADVICE' open both days 10am-4pm.

Sat 16th February...ORCHID FESTIVAL at LANGFORD

NURSERIES & GARDEN CENTRE, Henlow Rd, langford, Biggleswade, Beds, FREE ENTRY, open 9am-4pm.

Sat 23rd February...BOURNEMOUTH ORCHID SHOW.

Sat 1st March....WESSEX ORCHID SHOW, at The Portchester Community School, Whitehart Lane.

Sat 15th & Sun 16th March...THE LONDON ORCHID SHOW...held in the RHS Lawrence Hall, Westminster, London WC1. Open both days 10am-5pm.

Fri 21st to Mon 24th March...'ORCHIDS AT EASTER'. The nursery will be open on these days from 10am-4pm with a

different programme each day

Sat 5th & Sun 6th April...THE ANNUAL ORCHID FAIR at The National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9...FREE ENTRY...talks both days..open 10am-5pm.                          

Sat 12th & Sun 13th April...ORCHID FAYRE at Glasgow

Botanical Gardens, 730 Great Western Rd, Glasgow G12 0UE

Sun 13th April...WORKSHOP at the nursery...a Nursery Walkabout, FREE TOUR starts at 2pm, open 10am-4pm.

Sat 19th April...BRISTOL & WEST OF ENGLAND ORCHID SOCIETY SHOW..Town Hall, Chipping Sodbury.

Sat 3rd May...THE DEVON ORCHID SOCIETY ANNUAL ORCHID SHOW...Elizabeth Hall, Exmouth, Devon.

Fri 10th & Sat 11th May...CHELSEA PREVIEW at the nursery a chance to see the orchids that we will be taking to Chelsea Flower Show. Nursery open 10am-4pm.

Tues 20th to Sat 24th May...THE CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW...come along ans see us.

Sun 8th June...WORKSHOP at the nursery. 'Orchids as Houseplants' FREE TALK starts at 2pm. Nursery open 10am-4pm.

Sat 14th & Sun 15th June...PETERBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL ORCHID SHOW...at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

Tues 8th to Sun 13th July...HAMPTON COURT PALACE FLOWER SHOW...come along and see us.

Sun 27th July...WORKSHOP at the nusery. 'Orchids for your greenhouse or conservatory'. FREE TALK starts at 2pm, nursery open 10am-4pm.

Sat 16th August....AN ORCHID DAY AT COLEMANS GARDEN CENTRE, Northern Ireland.

Sat 23rd & Sun 24th August...THE BOGA ORCHID FAYRE...again being held at Dinton Pastures Country Park, Davis Street, Winnersh, Hurst, Berkshire. Open Sat 9pm-5pm & Sun 10am-4pm ADMISSION FREE.

SEPTEMBER SALE...at the nursery...this month reduced plants, some at ½ price. Open every day 10am-4pm.

Sat 6th & Sun 7th September...ORCHID FAIR at THE NATIONAL BOTANIC GARDEN OF WALES...details available soon.

Sun 14th September...A ROYAL HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY EVENT AT BURNHAM NURSERIES...Tickets available via RHS ticket line 0845 612 1253 or from the nursery 01626 352233.

Sun 12th October...WORKSHOP at the nursery...'The ever popular Phalaenopsis - Moth Orchid' FREE TALK starts at 2pm. nursery open 10am-4pm.

Sat 25th & Sun 26th October...THE DEVON ORCHID SOCIETY hosting their week-end at The Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren, Devon.

Sun 9th November...WORKSHOP at the nursery 'A Cymbidium Day' FREE TALK starts at 2pm. nursery open 10am-4pm.

Sun 14th December...WORKSHOP at the nursery 'Orchids at Christmas' open 10am-4pm.

Only open 10-12pm 24th December 2008..Closed 25th/26th/31st December 2008 and 1st January 2009.
