Preparing for the show
Preparation for the Chelsea Flower Show starts many weeks
in advance, staking flower stems to make sure that they
open in just the right way in time for the show. If the
weather is too hot then flowers can go over, if it is too
cold then they may be open enough so timing is crucial.
Our 'Chelsea Preview'
Every year, in the 2 weeks preceding Chelsea Show, we hold
a special weekend where all the orchids that are destined
for the show are displayed at the nursery for all to see.
This is a very popular weekend and gives our customers and
anyone who loves orchids a special chance to see some of
the best in the world!
This event is held in aid of a local charity, with a Gala
Evening on the Saturday night, this year for Rowcroft Hospice.
