CHELSEA 2008
GOLDEN SUCCESS AT CHELSEA!
May saw our 51st outing to the Chelsea Flower Show, and our 19th Gold Medal! The colourful exhibit with
over 500 orchids in flower impressed the judges and the public plus we had good coverage in the local press
as well as two pieces on the local BBC news and an interview from the show on BBC Radio Devon.
We even got a mention by Alan Titchmarsh as the first exhibitors to finish staging in the Great Pavilion,
the prize for this being a Mars Bar each!
All in all a good week, even the weather turned out not too bad in the end after a cool start.
ORCHID CHARITY
During our Chelsea Preview on May 10th & 11th we raised money for the charity 'Orchid' . It raises funds
and awareness for male cancers and we were pleased to raise over £200 for them.
